What is a mobile notary?
A mobile notary is a commissioned notary public who travels to your location to notarize documents. Instead of traveling to a bank, shipping store, or notary office, we come to you—at your home, office, hospital, nursing facility, correctional facility, or another convenient location.
How do I schedule an appointment?

What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Please have a valid, government-issued photo ID such as a California driver's license, state identification card, or passport available at your appointment. All signers must be present and properly identified before the notarization can be completed.
If you do not have an acceptable form of identification, contact us before your appointment. In certain circumstances, California law allows other identification methods or credible witnesses to be used. We can explain what information you'll need to provide so you can determine whether your situation qualifies.
Please also have your complete document ready for notarization. Do not sign the document in advance unless you have been specifically instructed to do so.
What is an apostille, and do you handle apostille services?

How much does a mobile notary cost?
California notary fees are $15 per signature notarized for standard notarizations. Mobile appointments also include a separate travel fee, which generally starts at $25 and varies based on your location, appointment time, and other service factors.
Additional fees may apply for specialized services, after-hours appointments, correctional facility visits, or other circumstances.

What types of documents can you notarize?
We notarize many types of personal, legal, financial, healthcare, real estate, and business documents, including powers of attorney, estate planning documents, affidavits, healthcare directives, real estate documents, business documents, family-related documents, and more.

Yes. We provide mobile notary appointments at hospitals, nursing facilities, and other healthcare locations. For patients who have difficulty traveling, having the notary come to the bedside can make the process much more convenient.
Yes. We provide jail and correctional facility notary services for eligible documents. Facility procedures, identification requirements, scheduling, and access rules can vary, so advance coordination is recommended.
An apostille authenticates the signature and official capacity of a public official on a document so that the document can be recognized for use in another country.
Yes. We provide apostille facilitation services and can assist with documents originating from California and, when eligible, documents from other U.S. states. Because apostille requirements vary depending on where the document was issued and where it will be used, we review the document requirements and help determine the appropriate process.

What to expect at the notarization appointment
At Struck Notary Solutions, we follow all guidelines established under California notary law to ensure your documents are notarized properly and legally. Knowing what to expect can help your appointment go smoothly and quickly.
1. All Signers Must Be Present
California law requires that every person whose signature is being notarized must appear in person before the notary at the time of the notarization. The notary must witness the signing or receive an acknowledgment from the signer that the signature is theirs.
2. Bring Valid Identification
Each signer must provide acceptable, valid identification so the notary can verify their identity. Common forms of acceptable ID include:
California Driver License or ID card
U.S. Passport
Driver license issued by another U.S. state
Military ID
Inmate identification (for jail notarizations)
Identification must be current or issued within the last five years and contain a photograph, signature, and physical description.
3. Documents Must Be Complete
Documents should be complete and ready for signature before the appointment. California notaries cannot notarize documents that contain blank spaces that could later be altered.
If the document requires witnesses, please arrange for them in advance. In most cases, the notary cannot act as a witness. For an additional fee, we can arrange witnesses for you if necesary.
4. The Notary Will Verify Willingness and Awareness
The notary must confirm that the signer:
Understands the document they are signing
Is signing voluntarily
Appears mentally aware of the transaction
If the signer appears unwilling, intoxicated, confused, or under duress, the notary is required by law to refuse the notarization. In the event of a hospital patient notarization, the patient must not be under the infuence of any medication which may impare their mental capacity to understand what they are signing.
5. Journal Entry and Thumbprint
California notaries are required to record each notarization in an official notary journal. Signers will be asked to:
Sign the notary journal
Provide a thumbprint for certain documents, such as powers of attorney or documents affecting real property
6. Payment for Notary Services
California notary regulations set the maximum fee for a notarized signature at $15 per signature. Additional travel, waiting time, after-hours, emergency, or mobile service fees will apply as appropriate. Payment is collected prior to any documents being notarized. We offer multiple methods to make your payment. A deposit may be required to secure the appointment.
7. The Notary Completes the Notarial Certificate
After verifying identity and witnessing the signature, the notary will complete the notarial certificate, apply their official seal, and finalize the notarization.
