What to Expect at Your Mobile Notary Appointment

Knowing what to expect can help make your appointment quick and stress-free. At your appointment, the notary will:

1. Verify each signer’s identity
Each signer must present acceptable, valid identification.

2. Confirm the signer is willing and aware
The notary confirms that each signer appears to be signing willingly and is aware of the document being signed.

3. Witness the signing when required
The signer signs the document in the notary's presence when required for the notarial act.

4. Complete the notarial certificate
The notary completes the appropriate notarial certificate and records the notarization as required.

Before Your Appointment

Please have a valid, acceptable government-issued ID ready for each signer. Also make sure the document is complete before your appointment, except for the signatures and any information that should be completed in the notary's presence.
